The apartment, owned by a discerning individual based in China, is not just a holiday retreat but a sanctuary that intertwines relaxation with the grandeur necessary to dazzle guests. His vision was clear yet profound: to elevate this exquisite space into a timeless masterpiece, a seamless blend of the new and the old, where his cherished furniture collection finds a renewed context.
Metamorph Design embraced the challenge of weaving a tapestry of new colours and designs into the existing fabric of the apartment’s original charm. This endeavour was nothing short of a maestro conducting a grand orchestra, meticulously ensuring that each new element harmonised with the home’s established design narrative, striking a delicate balance between innovation and tradition.
The journey of transformation begins at the private lift lobby, where guests are introduced to refined elegance—a subtly sophisticated TV feature wall adorned with bespoke golden poles and tastefully selected wallpaper. Stepping into the living room, one is immediately captivated by the ceiling, a canvas of artistic expression hand-painted with gold foils. The room is illuminated by the Vistosi Puppet Ring Pendant Light, a beacon of luxury that seamlessly integrates with the surroundings.
At the heart of this transformation lies the art of personalization. The design narrative was intricately tailored to the owner’s dual lifestyle: his solitary travels and his flair for hosting. The master and study rooms were reimagined as private sanctuaries, each a reflection of his unique style and needs. Central to the design ethos was a timeless elegance, with a focus on rich gold and warm wood elements, crafting a legacy—a design narrative that endures through time.
