Tung Ching Yew

With more than 20 years of industrial experience in Design Consultancy and Project Management, Tung is a multi-disciplinary award-winning spatial designer and music artiste who has been recognised as one of the prominent figures in the creative industry. He embraces technology and automation in his design processes, reinforced through his works as a designer, composer and educator in the Design and Arts industry.

In 2010, Tung established SODA® (Spirit Of Design Analogy Pte Ltd). He has since won numerous design and creative awards worldwide, including the 15th and 12th International Design Awards in Los Angeles, London International Creative Competition 2022, DNA Paris Design Awards 2022, LIV Hospitality Design Awards 2021 in Switzerland. He is also a winner at the Asia Design Prize 2019, acknowledged by world-renowned designer Karim Rashid. Locally, he has won the Singapore Good Design Mark and Singapore Interior Design Awards 2019, winning both Luminary Award and a Gold Award.

SODA® has been appointed by many corporate entities as Design Consultant, including Infineon Technologies, Tote Board, Japan Tobacco International (JTI), RHB Banking Group, and Koufu Group. Tung is also an educator for more than 12 years with various design institutions and polytechnics, imparting valuable knowledge to the next generation of designers. He graduated with a Bachelor of Arts (First Class Honours) in Exhibition & Retail Design from the University of Huddersfield, UK in 2008, and was conferred Best Graduate Award and Best Studentship Award.
